Party workers and other people from different villages participated in the protest. Daljit Singh Dialpura and Chaman Lal Darajke were among the leaders who addressed the gathering on the occasion and alleged that the administration, especially the police department, had become the puppet of the ruling party and as a results people belonging to the poorer sections of society were benign denied justice.

The leaders brought to the notice of the administration that while a case had been registered against the accused, who vandalised the property of as many as 13 residents in Chung village a month back, they had not been arrested yet. The leaders similarly brought a number of cases of partiality to the fore.
