Activists and local leaders of AAP held a protest against Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah against his utterances regarding Dr B R Ambedkar in Parliament in front of the District Administrative Complex here on Friday. The AAP workers also burnt an effigy of Union Minister Amit Shah.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said people of the country are not in a mood to spare the Union Minister for his remarks against the undisputed personality of the country and the downtrodden sections of society Dr BR Ambedkar, who is the founder of the Constitution of the country.

The minister said it is the Constitution of the country, which has provided a number of facilities to the weaker sections of society. He demanded the dismissal of the Union Minister from the Union Cabinet. Bhullar sought an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Amit Shah’s shocking remarks.

Harpreet Singh Dhunna, Rajinder Singh Usman, Dilbag Singh, Lakhwinder Singh Fauji, Amrinder Singh Aimi, and senior leaders were among others who too addressed on the occasion.
