PSEB holds workshop on moral values
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) held a state-level workshop to promote moral values in Gurmukhi in the syllabi of students of government schools. A Gurdaspur-based social organisation — Jagat Punjabi Sabha — took part in the event.
PSEB Chairman Dr Amarpal Singh extolled the virtues of moral education among youngsters.
Jagat Punjabi Sabha president Mukesh Verma said, “Moral education is the process of teaching values, ethics and principles to help people distinguish between the right and wrong.”
He said moral education should also be made a part of Punjab’s fight against drugs.
PSEB Chairman Dr Amarpal Singh said all the suggestions would be considered. “The education system of Punjab would be enhanced to world class standards. Such workshops will continue to be held in the future,” he said.
Punjab Food Commission Chairman Bal Mukund Sharma and PSEB Secretary Prabhleen Kaur also spoke on the occasion.
