Public Works Department (PWD) and Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO laid the foundation stones of link roads at Janiya, Talwandi and Bandala villages in Jandiala Guru constituency here on Sunday. The projects would enhance infrastructure and connectivity in these areas, said the minister.

He said a 10-km-long road would be constructed at Janiya village at a cost of Rs 3.80 crore. At Talwandi village, two roads, approximately 2 km long, would be built at a cost of Rs 61 lakh and Rs 1.5 crore, respectively.

Additionally, a 4-km-long road would be constructed at Bandala village.

The minister emphasised the importance of cooperation from villagers for the successful completion of these projects. He highlighted the government’s commitment to developing rural infrastructure and announced plans to pave streets and roads with interlocking tiles.

He said Bandala village would also receive Rs 15.50 crore for beautification projects, which would enhance the village’s aesthetics. He expressed his dedication to fulfilling the responsibilities assigned to him and assured that development works will continue in the state over the next two years.
