Rajesh Kumar Sharma takes charge as DEO (Secondary)

Rajesh Kumar Sharma has been appointed as the District Education Officer (Secondary) of Amritsar district. Upon assuming the charge today, Sharma was was formally greeted by the office staff, teacher union and officers of the Education Department.

He succeeds Harbhagwant Singh, who retired in the month of July.

Sharma said that it was a matter of pride for him to serve as the District Education Officer in Guru Ki Nagari. He said that while he will consider solving the problems of teachers, office staff and education officers, his priority will be to improve the quality of education in government schools of the district.

He was accompanied by Kanwaljit Singh, District Education Officer (SE), Rajesh Khanna, Deputy DEO and other officials of the district Education Department.
