Rakhi was celebrated at several educational institutions on Saturday. At Guru Amar Dass Adarsh Institute, Goindwal Sahib, competitions related to the festival such as rakhi-making, card-making and thali decoration were conducted. The winners of the competition were honoured with prizes. Chairman Jaspal Singh Randhawa and Principal Manisha Sood emphasised the importance of celebrating festivals and remaining in touch with culture. Universal Academy, Tarn Taran, hosted a special assembly to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, highlighting the significance of the love siblings share. The event showcased various activities, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness among students. A rakhi-making competition showcased creativity and skills, promoting brotherhood and sisterhood.
Skits and performances emphasised the importance of sibling relationships, and card-making, essay writing and poster-making competitions on ‘Role of Siblings in Life’ encouraged thoughtful reflection among students. Traditional songs and dances added to the festive atmosphere, filling the school with joy and enthusiasm. Principal Jasbeer Kaur Sidhu said, “Raksha Bandhan celebrates the unconditional bond between siblings. May this festival strengthen our relationships and promote harmony.”
