Incidents of robbery have started affecting the business community here in the district. Two robbery incident have been reported from the area.

Dinesh Kumar, a resident of Kot Baba Deep Singh in Amritsar district, was on way to the Goindwal Saheb on Friday on his moped when four motorcycle-borne miscreants stopped him near Reshianana village on the Tarn Taran-Goindwal Sahib road. The robbers snatched keys of his moped, opened the storage compartment and took away 1.4 kg of silver ornaments kept in there.

Dinesh Kumar lodged a complaint with the Sadar police in this connection on Saturday. ASI Karamjit Kaur said a case under Section 304 of the BNS had been registered against the suspects.

In another incident, Dhiraj Kumar, a resident of Margindpura, was robbed of his motorcycle on Friday by three bike-borne persons near Theh Naushehra village. In his complaint to the Kacha Pakka police, Dhiraj Kumar said after closing his shop in Ghariala village on the Friday night, he was on way back to his Margindpur village when three masked robbers stopped him near Theh Naushehra village and robbed him of his motorcycle. A case under Sections 304 (2), 3 (5) of the BNS has been registered by the Kacha Pakka police in this connection.
