Rotary Club organises free check-up camp
The Rotary Club of Amritsar Civil Lines organised a mega health camp at Gurdwara Mallu Nangal, providing comprehensive health services to over 500 people. The event, led by president KS Gill and Nidhi Sindhwani, was aimed to address basic health problems in the community.
The camp featured a team of doctors from leading hospitals, including Gill Path Lab, Chaachi Nursing Home, Daljit Singh Hospital, Amandeep Hospital, Parvati Devi Hospital and SGRD Medical College. The services offered included free blood tests, gynaecology OPD services with pap smears, eyecare services with free cataract surgeries, dental OPD with toothpaste and brush distribution, cancer OPD and blood donation camp, general OPD with consultations and medicine distribution and specialised sessions on stomach-related issues and orthopaedic problems.
In addition to this, Rotarians and volunteers educated participants, particularly young girls, about menstrual cycles, personal hygiene.
