Dr Rohan Mehra, national president of Rashtriya Gau Raksha Mahasangh, said that on July 2, 2024, Sulabh Arora died in an accident involving a stray cow near Gol Bagh area when he was returning home from work. The family had sought suitable compensation from the government.

The family members had to sit on hunger strike while Dr Mehra also joined in the protest in September last year. Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney took up the matter and put up the case for consideration as per the government policy.
