The district administration would felicitate Ashok Kumar (43), a safai karamchari with the Amritsar Municipal Corporation for his sincere work in maintaining sanitary conditions in the city, during the Independence Day function at Guru Nanak Stadium tomorrow.

Responsible for the cleaning of the Tunda Talab area in Ward No. 60, Kumar had been working with the MC for the past 13 years. He joined service at a salary of Rs 8,500 per month. Now, he is drawing a salary of
