The women’s wing of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has come up with an idea of providing the women protesters with essential items, including sanitary pads at the dharna site in New Delhi.
In a statement, AAP’s rural wing leader Seema Sodhi claimed that till now the party had distributed 3,000 sanitary pads among women protesters and it would continue to provide them with their daily needs as long as the ongoing agrarian strife continued.
Besides Sodhi, the party’s team of volunteers, including Aamardeep Kaur, Monika, Sukhwinder Kaur, Sukhwinder Kaur Gehlot and Jaspal Kaur also visited the dharna site.
AAP in Delhi has put in place a team of female doctors and health workers to monitor the supply chain of sanitary pads and other essential items of daily use for women protesters.
