‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ camp on February 5, says DC

Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal on Thursday appealed to people for calling 1076 helpline to get 43 citizen services at the doorstep. He also directed the officials concerned to make adequate arrangements for special camps to be held under ‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ programme from February 5 in the district.
Reviewing delivery of citizen services in sewa kendras across district, the Deputy Commissioner stressed that all citizen services should be deliver within stipulated time frame. He said as many as 43 citizen services were being provided at doorsteps for which people just have to make a call on 1076 helpline. He stated that the district administration was fully geared up to hold special camps on February 5 under ‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ programme of the Punjab Government. These camps would provide services being given by different departments along with 43 services, said Panchal, adding that information of camp sites would be given in prior.
Amit Kumar Panchal directed the official to hold daily review of pending applications besides getting the pendency cleared at the earliest. Additional Deputy Commissioner Lakhwinder Singh Randhawa, SDMs Lal Biswas Bains, Jashanjit Singh, Sanjeev Sharma, Jaspreet Singh and officials concerned were also present.
Reviews working of AAP clinics
The DC reviewed the functioning of Aam Aadmi Clinics besides visiting the Civil Hospital, where government medical college and hospital would be constructed.
Accompanied by Civil Surgeon Dr Rita Bala and other officials, DC Amit Kumar Panchal emphasised the need to provide all requisite medicines free of cost from the hospital pharmacy. He directed that the stock of these medicines should always be available as per need. He also took round of pharmacy and X-ray unit besides getting information about the lab tests, dialysis service and other healthcare facilities.
PWD officials apprised the Deputy Commissioner that the tendering process for construction of medical college and hospital was being completed within a few days. They said the project will be completed within two years once the construction started.
