School supplies distributed to students in flood-hit village

After the reopening of schools in flood-affected areas, the district administration today distributed school bags and stationery to students at the high school in the border village of Jagdev Khurd under ‘Mission Chardi Kala’.

Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney said that after the schools in flood-affected areas reopened, efforts have been made to put the system back on track for the students studying there. She said with the support of various social service organisations and the district administration, school bags and stationery items are being distributed to the students in flood-affected areas under the supervision of District Red Cross Society secretary Samson Masih.

Secretary, Red Cross, Samson Masih and District Education Officer (Secondary) Rajesh Kumar Sharma, who arrived at the high school in Jagdev Khurd village of Ajnala to distribute these items to the students, said that the necessary educational items were being distributed to the school students of the flood-affected areas on priority basis. “All efforts are being made so that the students do not face any problem while receiving their education,” said DEO Rajesh Kumar Sharma.
