Season’s first showers bring joy to farmers, residents alike

TRThe district finally witnessed the season’s first showers early on Saturday morning, bringing much-needed relief from the scorching heat. The change in weather conditions has not only provided a welcome respite to the residents but also eased the workload of farmers.

“This rain is a blessing for us. We have been waiting for it for so long, and now we can finally start preparing our fields for the paddy crop. The rain will also help to recharge the groundwater, which will be beneficial for our future crops,” said Gurpreet Singh, a local farmer.
