Session on trade beyond borders

The Punjab State Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and International Affairs & Trade Fairs Division in collaboration with ARISE IIP organised a session on ‘Trade Beyond Borders-Africa Calling Amritsar’.

CA Jaideep Singh, convener, Amritsar Zone, PHDCCI Punjab State Chapter, emphasised the importance of enhancing trade relations between India and Africa and highlighted the immense potential for mutual economic growth.

Vijay Shekhawat, head, North India, ARISE IIP, gave an overview of the emerging markets of Africa, highlighting key sectors for manufacturing investments and discussing the strategic advantages of entering the continent.

Amit Kaushik of the ARISE IIP said, “Africa is the continent of future. West and Central Africa are engaged in significant trade with India. Various incentives and services offered by the ARISE IIP to Indian investors, which makes it a lucrative business market.”

Abhishek Banwara, senior secretary, International Affairs, PHDCCI, highlighted the key initiatives and partnerships that have strengthened India-Africa business ties.

Sumit Kumar, assistant secretary, PHDCCI, emphasised the importance of international cooperation in today’s global economy.

Nipun Aggarwal, co-convener, Amritsar zone, Punjab Chapter of PHDCCI, delivered the vote of thanks, reaffirming PHDCCI’s commitment to fostering cross-border trade and creating avenues for Indian businesses to expand into international markets.
