Seven booked for culpable homicide

The Amritsar rural police have booked seven persons on the charge of allegedly restraining and attempt to commit culpable homicide.
Those booked were identified as Mani, Arshdeep Singh, Karamjit Singh, Manjit Singh, Harmanjit Singh all residents of Wadala Kalan, Sandeep Singh and Gurjit Singh of Baba Bakala here.
Mandeep Singh, the complainant stated to the police that on Saturday, he along with his cousin Amritpal Singh (21), were returning to Wadala Kalan on their bike when the accused Karanbir Singh along with others attacked them. He suffered serious head injuries and was later rushed to a private hospital in Amritsar.
The police authorities said an old scuffle was the reason behind the incident. They said the police have registered a case under Sections 308, 341, 323, 324, 148, 149 of the IPC and raids were on to arrest the suspects.
