SGPC felicitates NGO 'Yuva Unstoppable' officials for serving govt school students

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) felicitated office-bearers of Gujarat-based NGO ‘Yuva Unstoppable’ upon their visit to the Golden Temple here on Friday.

The NGO is providing different facilities to students of government schools in 18 states. After paying obeisance at the Sikh shrine, members of the NGO reached the SGPC’s office.

Partap Singh, Additional Secretary of the SGPC, Satbir Singh Dhami, OSD to Shiromani Committee president, Sulakhan Singh Bhangali, Manager of the Golden Temple and Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, Assistant Secretary, handed them over the replicas of Golden Temple and a set of books on Sikh religion and history.

Amitabh Shah of the NGO said he sought blessings from Guru Sahib while paying obeisance at the Golden Temple. He said the founder of this NGO Jashandeep Singh, who is serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy. Giving information about the activities of the NGO, he said at present the organisation was providing services such as preparing bathrooms, managing drinking water, cleaning utensils and providing food in the government schools of 18 states, along with creating smart classrooms. He said till date about 3,000 schools were constructed and it was spread over 18 states, including Punjab. —
