The SGPC organised ardas in memory of the lakhs of Punjabis who lost their lives during the Partition of the country in 1947 at Akal Takht on Friday. After the bhog (concluding ceremony) of the Akhand Path, a raagi jatha of the Golden Temple performed Gurbani Kirtan. Ardas was offered by Prem Singh and the holy hukamnama was recited by Malkeet Singh, head granthi of the Akal Takht. Head granthi of the Golden Temple and Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh and SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami were present.
