Students of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, Amritsar, brought laurels to the school by getting the Rising Stars trophy in the First Lego League (FLL) held at Amity International School, Gurugram, on Saturday and Sunday. The theme of the event was ‘City Shaper’. The FLL is a unique STEM-based robotics competition for students of aged 9 and 16, aimed at introducing them to science and technology in an innovative way.
The school has been providing STEM education to students of Class IV to VIII, as a part of which students prepare various innovative models and have also won various competitions at regional and state level. Ten students from the school, Pranal (Class VI), Cherish (Class VI), Ansh (Class VI) , Ansh (Class VII), Hitika (Class VII), Priyanshu (Class VII), Krish (Class VIII), Lakshay (Class VIII), Raghav (Class VIII) and Tanvi (Class VIII), made innovative model and prepared a skit on the theme ‘Happiness for elderly citizens’ using design thinking principles.
The president of the school, Balbir Bajaj, congratulated the winners for their achievement.
