The students of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, Amritsar, brought laurels to the institution by excelling in the prestigious ‘Future Tycoon’ competition—an initiative of the district administration under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Sakshi Sawhney. The programme was graced by Cabinet Minister for Employment Generation and Training, Aman Arora as the chief guest. The initiative aimed to develop entrepreneurial skills among the youth and prepare future-ready business leaders.
Guided by the visionary leadership of president Balbir Bajaj, the inspiring mentorship of principal Dr Vinodita Sankhyan and the strategic direction of CAO Dr Sanjay Mahajan, the students showcased exceptional creativity and business acumen. Out of over 1,300 participants, nine students from Shri Ram Ashram Public School qualified for the grand finale, a testament to the school’s consistent emphasis on innovation and excellence.
Harshit Sharma of Grade X clinched the first prize, receiving a cash award of Rs 50,000, while Ansh Kumar of Grade XII earned the second prize along with Rs 20,000 for his outstanding business idea and pitch presentation. The finalists were praised for their visionary business models and confident articulation.
At the grand finale, the winners were felicitated by Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, who appreciated their efforts and encouraged the youth to become job creators. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Namita Gupta, Director, Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training; Pawan Aggarwal, MD, Punjab Infotech; Mandeep Singh, Joint Director and other senior officials and industrialists. Cabinet Minister, Harbhajan Singh ETO and MLA Dr Ajay Gupta were also present.
President Balbir Bajaj congratulated the achievers and said their success is proof that when innovation meets guidance, great outcomes follow. Principal Dr Vinodita Sankhyan expressed heartfelt pride in her students, stating: “This accomplishment reflects our school’s ongoing mission to empower students with real-world skills, confidence and entrepreneurial thinking.”
