Leaders from various communist parties and public organisations have strongly condemned the alleged killings of over 300 tribals and the registration of false police cases in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand over the past three months.
These organisations have already submitted a memorandum to President Murmu Devi, urging an immediate end to the encounters and the withdrawal of military and security forces from tribal areas. Prominent leaders, including Ratan Singh Randhawa, Jatinder Singh Chhina, Dr Satnam Singh Ajnala, and Lakhbir Singh Nazampura, have expressed severe criticism of the BJP-led government’s handling of the situation.
The memorandum sent to the President demands the cessation of land handovers to corporations in hilly and forested areas, the immediate withdrawal of military and security forces from tribal areas, and the termination of military operations.
