Cabinet Minister Om Parkash Soni announced a decision to establish a park at Bombay Wala Khoo, a congested area of the walled city. On Saturday, the minister visited Ward No. 49 and listened to problems of residents.
City residents raised various issues, including sanitation. OP Soni issued directed officials concerned to address the issues immediately. While addressing a public gathering, OP Soni said the government would set up a new park at Bombay Wala Khoo area. He also inspected the ongoing development works and asked the contractors to not compromise with quality. Soni also asked them to complete all work within a stipulated time.
Talking to mediapersons, OP Soni said a camp would be organised to help residents take derive of various social welfare schemes such as old-age pension and handicapped pension. “We are committed to 100 per cent development of the city. No area will be ignored.”
Several Congress leaders, councillors and activists were present on the occasion.
