The district administration has took the initiative to provide artificial limps free-of-cost to physically challenged persons in the district

Deputy Commissioner Harpreet Singh said the limps would be customised as per the size of the disabled person. He said that camps in different areas would be organised for the purpose of measurement of the affected limbs of those who want to get artificial limbs.

He said that disabled and elderly persons should bring a copy of Aadhaar card and disability certificate along with a photograph to the camp.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
