Spring Dale joins flood relief efforts of dist admn to mark Teacher’s Day

In wake of the prevailing flood situation, the Spring Dale family stepped out in support of the relief campaign being run by the istrict administration, Amritsar. Briefing about the initiative taken by their team, Spring Dale Educational Society Chairman, Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, and Director Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, shared that the teachers and Students Council of Spring Dale Senior School and the teaching faculty of Spring Blossoms School took an initiative to join in the flood relief campaign being run by the district administration to dedicate the occasion of Teacher’s Day to the cause.

Sandhu said that they approached the district administration and together the Spring Dale community pooled up a collection of articles of daily use in the form of eatables like dry ration, medicines, clothing, tarpaulin sheets, mosquito repellents etc and also animal fodder. Sandhu added that a team of teachers volunteered to reach out to the affected areas to distribute relief material to the families in need. “Considering the overwhelming response extended by the students and parents of both the schools, the process of collection of flood relief material will continue for a few more days in the school campus,” said Sandhu.

Rajiv Kumar Sharma, principal of the school, appreciated the initiative taken by the team of teachers and the Students Council and also urged them to be available to help these families in the form of moral and material support.
