Sentiments prevailed as the management and staff members of Spring Dale Senior School remembered and paid rich tributes to mentors Dr Shivinder Singh Sandhu, former managing trustee of the Spring Dale Educational Society and Manveen Sandhu, former principal of Spring Dale Senior School, who passed on this day 11 years ago. An akhand path was organised for the departed souls. The bhog of the akhand path was organised at the Central Khalsa Orphanage.
It was 11 years ago that the Spring Dale family lost their founder-mentors in a road accident. Dr Shivinder Singh Sandhu and Manveen Sandhu were philanthropists and pioneers of progressive education.

Recalling his long association with Dr Sandhu and his wife, school principal Rajiv Kumar Sharma said they had a vision of elevating their school to be a powerful instrument for social uplift and youth empowerment. “The school team is committed to accomplishing the task assigned by the two elevated souls,” he maintained.
Sharing the memories of her parents with the staff members, Dr Kirat Sandhu Cheema, director, Spring Dale Educational Society, and Captain Samarjit Singh Cheema expressed their commitment to march on and meet the goals envisioned for the larger society by their revered parents.
