Spring Dale team wins heritage quiz
The young quizzers from Spring Dale Senior Secondary School won the regional cluster-level round of the CBSE Heritage Quiz held at Chandigarh. Sharing the information, Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Chairman, Spring Dale Educational Society, said that the school quiz team, comprising Raghuvansh Wadhwa of grade XII, Gursidak Kaur Boparai of grade XI and Sargun Kaur Bhullar of grade X notched the top position to make it to the national finals, to be held in New Delhi in January, 2025. The team registered victory by trouncing 42 teams selected from all across the region to make it to the top slot.
Congratulating the winning team and their mentor Neeru Issar, school principal Rajiv Kumar Sharma stated that ‘heritage education’ has always been an integral part of the school’s teaching-learning process and the students have always been given a first-hand experience of the contribution in conservation and promotion of the heritage, under the Heritage Programme of the school. “Quizzing is integrated as a knowledge-based skill in the regular academic calendar of the school, giving an advantage to our students. No wonder they have won national-level quiz competitions back to back in the recent past,” said Sharma.
