A function was organised at Government Secondary School, Kot Budha, on Monday to award prizes to the participants according to their performance shown in the ‘sanitation fortnight’ (swachhta pakhwada) in the school.

Principal Sakattar Singh presided over the function and chairman of the managing committee Naunihal Singh was the chief guest. Pooram Bajaj, District Nodal officer of the Swachhta Pakhwada said that the students participated in different activities with great zeal and enthusiasm. Their work was evaluated by a team of school teachers and the students were awarded as per their performance. The villages and the officer-bearers of the school management committee appreciated the performance of the principal and staff. The school complex was decorated with flowers and medicinal plants.
