Suresh Mahajan is dist BJP prez

The district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appointed Suresh Mahajan as the district president at the BJP headquarters here on Wednesday. His name was announced by Umesh Sharda, election in-charge of the district unit of the party.
State BJP president Shwait Malik, former health minister Dr Baldev Raj Chawla and former Mayor Bakshi Ram Arora were present on the occasion. MP Shwait Malik congratulated the newly appointed district president. While addressing the workers, Malik said Suresh had been working for society with the vision of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the BJP. “Suresh Mahajan worked fearlessly during the dark period of terrorism and contributed a lot to society. Mahajan worked on various posts of the party and performed well. Any worker in the BJP can hold any post, even a worker can become the Prime Minister or the President of the country,” said Malik. Earlier, Mahajan served as the chairman of the Amritsar Improvement Trust.
Suresh Mahajan thanked all the workers present on the occasion and said he would work hard for the betterment of the party. He said his main objective was to expand the party and respect of the workers would be his priority.
State secretary Rakesh Gill, state spokesperson Rajesh Honey, and Dr Rakesh Sharma were also present on the occasion.
