Amritsar, February 6
As part of the Ease of Living Index Assessment, a Citizen Perception Survey is being conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. This is a very important component of the assessment exercise as it will help in directly capturing the perception of citizens with respect to quality of life in their cities. Started on January 16, the survey, which is being conducted both online and offline, will continue by the end of February.
Also, the citizen perception survey is a part of Assessment Frameworks for Ease of Living (EoL) Index for all smart cities and million-plus population cities. Informing about the same, Komal Mittal, MC Commissioner, said 114 cities would be ranked on the basis of the results of the survey.
“Participants from all urban local bodies/cities are allowed to participate in the survey. The cities will be ranked according to facilities and criteria, including health, security, water supply, law and order, infrastructure, governance, education, public transport, economic activities and waste management. Citizens are urged to log on to http://eol2019.org/Citizenfeedback before February 29, and answer the queries to ensure maximum participation in the survey. Besides, a QR code could be scanned and the process to answer questions should be followed accordingly. Sanjay Kanwar is the nodal officer for the survey in the city.”
She urged the maximum participation should be ensured to elevate Amritsar’s ranking in the survey.
