Tarang Mela concludes in Amritsar

Tarang Mela of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural development (NABARD) concluded today.

An exhibition-cum-sale of agro-based products and daily use items for farmers and artisans were showcased. NABARD Punjab along with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC) organised the Tarang Farmer Producer Organisations (FPO) Mela from July 5 to 7 at a resort in Amritsar. The mela was inaugurated by Raghunath B, Chief General Manager, NABARD Punjab.

The farmers and artisans from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Tripura displayed their products during the exhibition. the consumers purchased honey, multi-grain aata, basmati, pulses, oil, handicrafts, pickles, dairy products and various other daily use items directly from the farmers and artisans during the mela. Five stalls which had the highest sales were awarded during the valediction ceremony.
