Tarn Taran byelection: Union MoS Ravneet Bittu campaigns for party candidate

Says BJP is committed to clean politics and the development of Punjab

Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu on Monday conducted a door-to-door campaign in Tarn Taran city in support of BJP candidate Harjit Singh Sandhu for the upcoming Tarn Taran by-election. Other senior party leaders and officials were also present with him during the campaign.

Ravneet Singh Bittu visited various wards of the city and interacted with residents, highlighting the facilities and welfare schemes being provided to the people of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said there is a pressing need to bring the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which he described as committed to clean politics and freeing Punjab from corruption, to power in the state.

He stated that people in other states are benefitting from BJP governance, which is why they continue to re-elect the party. However, in Punjab, whenever Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks about setting up industries, reviving development, or implementing Central Government schemes, regional party leaders mislead the public and spread false rumours against the BJP government, ultimately harming the state’s interests.

Bittu emphasised that to pave the way for forming a BJP government in Punjab, it is essential to secure victory for Harjit Singh Sandhu, the BJP candidate from the border constituency of Tarn Taran. He said this victory would mark the beginning of a new revolution, bringing Punjab back on the path of progress and prosperity.

BJP candidate Harjit Singh Sandhu appealed to the people to support him for the all-round development and advancement of Guru Nagri Tarn Taran, stressing that a direct connection with the BJP-led central government is vital for the region’s growth.
