The annual prize distribution function of the local Punjab Children’s Academy (PCA) was held on the theme of “Otherhood”, dedicated to the martyrdom of ‘Chaar Sahibzadas’ in which the achievements of students with outstanding performance was recognised in academics, punctuality and regularity, sports and various other fields. Arwinderpal Singh, SDM, Tarn Taran was the chief guest at the function which was organised under the chairmanship of Director Harmanpreet Singh and chairperson of the academy Dr Preeti.

The programme began with the recital of ‘Shabad’. Addressing the audience, Harmanpreet Singh congratulated the achievers and their parents. A cultural extravaganza followed that highlighted some leading personalities like Mother Teresa, Mata Gujri, Rani Jhansi and Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The demonstration of Gatka, performances like Krishna dance, animal dance and skits too were presented on the occasion. At the prize distribution ceremony, trophies were presented to students by the chief guest and school director to those who excelled in academics and regularity.

Chief guest Arwinderpal Singh, SDM, praised the institution for nurturing excellence.

Congratulating the awardees for their dedication and hard work, principal Sandhya Khanna presented the annual progress report of the academy on the occasion.
