Teachers discuss key issues with GNDU V-C

The elected members of the Guru Nanak Dev University Teachers’ Association (GNDUTA) held a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor at his office, discussing key issues highlighted during the recent elections. The association expressed optimism that teachers’ concerns would be addressed on a priority basis, with governance adhering to established rules and regulations.

During the meeting, GNDUTA raised several matters, including pending Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) cases of teachers, the non-issuance of RFID tags for teachers of constituent colleges, and other pressing issues affecting the teaching fraternity. The Vice-Chancellor assured the association that the process for CAS promotions had already been initiated and promised that all concerns would be addressed fairly.

Acknowledging the association’s pivotal role as a bridge between university authorities and faculty, the Vice-Chancellor emphasised that his actions would demonstrate commitment and progress over time, beyond mere promises.

GNDUTA pledged its constructive and positive support to further the university’s growth and development. The association also announced plans to meet the Vice-Chancellor again soon with a formal demand charter on behalf of the teachers.
