A teenaged girl was abducted from Baghiari village, falling under Jhabal police station, about two weeks ago. The mother of the victim alleged that her 14-year-old daughter was abducted by Gopi of Sanghana village late on December 4, when the other family members were asleep.

The police, however, registered a case under Sections 363 and 366 of the IPC on December 17.

The mother of the victim expressed her resentment over registering case after about two weeks of the occurrence of the incident and said the sections of the POCSO Act were not included while registering the case against the accused.
