A team of the Patti police arrested three persons with 200 grams of heroin while on patrol in the town on Monday.

SSP Abhimanyu Rana said here on Tuesday that the accused have been identified as Hardeep Singh, Rajan Singh and Gurjant Singh, residents of different localities in the border area town of Bhikhiwind. The accused were riding a motorcycle without registration when they were apprehended by the police party headed by SHO Inspector Harpreet Singh Virk.

The accused have been booked under Sections 21, 29, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act. The police also took the motorcycle into their possession. The accused were produced in a court, which sent them to police custody for two days.
