The Ajnala police have impounded three trucks laden with illegally excavated sand from Sahowal village. The drivers fled from the spot leaving their trucks behind on seeing a police naka near Dera Radha Soami in Ajnala.

They were identified as Kuldeep Singh of Dabbar village, Balvir Singh of Talwandi Rai Dadu and Shamsher Singh of Sahowal village. The police impounded trucks bearing registration No. PB-02-EF-4719, Pb-02-DV-3562 and PB-13-BK-9698 which contained five hundreds cubic feet of sand each. A case was registered and raids were on to nab truck drivers.
