Amritsar: In the latest KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Examination) results, three students from city have qualified by securing good ranks. Hardik Sharma secured AIR 586, Shivansh Mangal secured AIR 1,035 and Anmol Deep got AIR1,232. The KVPY exam is an annual examination conducted by IISc (Indian Institute of Science), Bengaluru and students who clear the interview as well as aptitude rounds receive a scholarship till pre-PhD. The three students are from Vedantu and their Master teacher Vikas Sondhi, who taught Chemistry subject to all the above students felicitated the students for their achievement. All of the three are preparing for JEE Advanced.

Yoga sessions conducted

Khalsa College, Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology, Ranjit Avenue and Khalsa College for Women with the aim of creating awareness regarding yoga, held seminar on the yoga practices. At Khalsa College, seminar on the topic of ‘Yoga for Humanity’ focusing on the importance of yoga in life was conducted. NCC cadets actively participated in yoga activities to spread awareness among the people about the benefits of doing yoga for good health and mind. Cadets from college also participated in National Cadets Corps (NCC)’s record for simultaneous yoga performance by a single uniformed youth organisation at several venues. Similarly in the one hour yoga session at KCET was held. While at Women’s College, NSS students organised yoga session and seminar on healthy lifestyle.

Admission starts at DAV college

DAV College Amritsar has begun its offline admission process for the session 2022-23. After two years of online and hybrid sessions, the college has turned fully offline mode now. The information regarding various courses has been displayed on college website, the students can fill the form through online and offline mode both. Principal, Dr Rajesh said in the current academic session, college has introduced career counselling cell for the new entrants also. Dr Rajesh informed that admission helpline numbers have also been issued by the college. If any student faces any problems, then he/she can contact on these numbers. Special concession in fees is also being given to the meritorious, low income group, SC/ST students as per college policy and as per state government regulations.
