Two armed persons fire at chemist shop
Two unidentified armed persons fired at a chemist shop in Kaler Ghuman village hereon the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday and a case was registered on Wednesday.
The police said though the medical store owner, Sudhir Kumar Sharma, claimed that he did not have enmity with anybody, he told the police that around a month ago, he had received an extortion call from a virtual number. However, he neither answered the call nor informed the police considering it a prank call.
In his complaint lodged with the police, he stated that he had closed down his shop on Monday night and went home. Next day when he opened the shop, he found the marks of gunshot firing at the shutter of the shop. He said the glass door of the shop was also shattered in the incident. The incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera in which two bike-borne persons were seen firing at the shop. The police also found three empty shells and a bullet from the spot.
