Two arrested with 840gm heroine
The city police have arrested two drug peddlers identified as Gurwant Singh, alias Manga, and Palwinder Singh, alias Sunny, in connection with the seizure of 840 grams of heroin here today. The operation was conducted by Mohit Kumar, SHO, Sultanwind, and Sub-Inspector Chander Mohan, along with other police personnel.
The arrested suspects, Gurwant Singh, a resident of Mira Kot Kala, Amritsar, and Palwinder Singh, a resident of Mira Kaur Khurd, Amritsar (Rural), are currently under interrogation. The police are questioning them regarding their connections with smugglers and the narcotics trafficking network.
A case was registered under the NDPS Act at the Sultanwind police station in this connection. Gurwant Singh has a previous criminal record with cases registered against him at the Kambo police station in the Amritsar (Rural).
