Two booked for raping 2 minor girls

The Verowal police have booked persons for raping two minor girls (11 years and 17 years). The incident took place on the intervening night of Thursday – Friday.
The accused have been identified as Yograj Singh Yoga of Hansawala and Jaskaran Singh Jassa of Pindian village. The duo had entered the house of minor girls by jumping the wall.
A case under Sections 376 and 450 of the IPC and Section 4/6 of the POCSO Act has been registered against the accused.
Sub-Inspector Amandeep Kaur (Investigating Officer) said medical examination of the victims was done at the Civil Hospital and their statement before the Judicial Magistrate has yet not been recorded.
