On the occasion of the two-day Dhadi Darbar, organised during the holy Chaudas-Amavas of the Assu month, renowned Dhadi jathas shared the Sikh warrior spirit with the Sikh sangat.
The religious congregation, which concluded today, was held at the Gurdwara Manji Sahib Diwan Hall in Darbar Sahib. Bhai Dharwinder Singh Manochahal, Manager of Darbar Sahib, Tarn Taran, informed that the Dhadi Darbar was organised in memory of Dhadi Giani Sohal Singh Seetal. It was also dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of ninth Sikh guru, Guru Teg Bahadur, and the Sikh martyrs who sacrificed their lives alongside him.
The event was organised by Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Shiromani Dhadi Sabha. Giani Baldev Singh MA, Giani Milkha Singh Mauji and Giani Sukhdev Singh Booh shared their warrior-like zeal through poetry and spoke about the spirit of valour with the sangat. The sangat enthusiastically appreciated the Dhadi Jathas’ performances.
Devotees took a holy dip in the Sarovar and listened to kirtan. The Assu month holds special significance in Sikhism and a large number of devotees paid obeisance at the gurdwara on Sunday.
