Two drones, heroin seized by BSF troops
The Border Security Force (BSF) has confiscated two drones and a heroin packet in three different incidents on the border belt here on Saturday.
During a joint search operation with Punjab Police, BSF troops recovered one assembled hexacopter from a farming field adjacent to Lodhi Gujar village in the district. The weight of recovered hexacopter is approximately 20.590 kgs. The made in China was imprinted on the rotator of its propeller.
In the second incident, during a joint search with Punjab police at approximately 11.25 am, BSF jawans recovered one DJI Mavic Classic 3 drone which collided with the wall of a house and fell near Malikpur village in Gurdaspur district.
In the third incident, one packet suspected to be containing heroin (gross weight 558 grams) was recovered from the farming field adjacent to Wan village in Tarn Taran district. The packet wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and a cooper wire loop was found attached to it, which indicates a possible case of drone dropping.
