A team of officials of the Sarai Amanat Khan police station, led by SHO Sub-Inspector Baljinder Singh, arrested two motorcycle-borne with 505 grams of heroin here on Friday night.

SHO Baljinder Singh said the accused have been identified as Paramjit Singh of Daoke and Gurwinder Singh of Rajatal, both residents of Amritsar district. The SHO said the accused, riding a motorcycle near Rakh Bhuse in the area, were asked to stop. When they were frisked, the police recovered 505 grams of heroin from them.

The police team also recovered Rs 30,000 drug money from the accused. Their motorcycle too have been taken into possession by the police. The police have registered a case under Sections 21-C, 27-A, 61 and 85 of the NDPS.
