While interacting with the media, he said it was due to the grace of almighty that he was able to pay homage at the revered gurdwara. In his message, he also congratulated the Sikh sangat on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas and appealed to the Sikh youth to protect their heritage.

He said Khalsa Sajna Diwas is a day to celebrate the glory of the turban and the entire Sikh youth should feel proud of it. Deputy secretary of the SGPC, Tejinder Singh Padda, and information officer Jaswinder Singh Jassi honoured Dhesi with a picture of Harmandir Sahib and Siropa.
