Uninterrupted power being supplied in Punjab: Minister

The state is supplying uninterrupted power supply to the consumers. This was stated by Power Minister, Punjab, Harbhajan Singh ETO, while addressing a public gathering in Tarn Taran on Friday.

The minister also inaugurated a newly installed 11 KV UPS breaker for Behla feeder at the local 66 KV Sub Station Focal Point to provide undisrupted power supply to Kakka Kandiala, Behla, Mughal Chack and other villages of the area.

Harbhajan Singh said 11 UPS (breakers) had been installed in Tarn Taran circle during the last four months. He said the power transmission, which was earlier 6,900 MW, had been increased to 8,540 MW and it would be increased to 10,000 MW soon in the state to rid the state of the problem of power shortage.
