In a video posted by Majithia on social media, he was seen arguing with the officials accusing them of trespassing.

This action is a part of an ongoing investigation into his alleged involvement in a major drug trafficking network.

The case against Majithia dates back to December 2021, when he was booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, including 25 (use of a premises for the commission of an offence), 27A (financing of production of drugs), and 29 (abetment to an offence).

The charges stem from a 2018 Special Task Force (STF) report that implicated him in facilitating international drug smuggling operations between 2004 and 2014.

Majithia has consistently denied the allegations, labeling them as politically motivated and part of a vendetta by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

In March 2025, the Supreme Court directed Majithia to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Patiala on March 17, 2025, after the Punjab government reported that he was refusing to cooperate with the probe. The court emphasised the need for Majithia's full cooperation to facilitate the investigation.

As of now, the chargesheet in the case has not been filed, and Majithia continues to maintain his innocence, asserting that the actions against him are part of a broader political strategy ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

More details are awaited.
