President of the Rashtriya Gau Raksha Mahasangh, Rohan Mehra, along with his team, visited the under-construction cow shelter in Amritsar Central constituency. During the visit, Mehra expressed serious concerns over the delay in completion of the project and the quality of materials being used.

A formal memorandum in this regard was submitted to the Municipal Commissioner today. It urged swift completion of the cow shelter and called for a technical inspection of all materials being used.

The MC Commissioner, after receiving the memorandum, gave a verbal assurance that a detailed written report will be prepared and a thorough investigation carried out to address all concerns.

Mehra revealed that during a previous visit to the site last month, the Junior Engineer (JE) had assured that construction would be completed by March 31, and the shelter would be ready for use. However, the ground reality, as witnessed today, paints a different picture. The shelter remains incomplete, with significant work still pending.

He further warned that if the contractor fails to complete the cow shelter within the promised timeline, he will demand strict action against him.
