Acting on a tip-off, the Gharinda police have arrested Ranjit Kaur, an alleged drug peddler, and recovered 465 gm of heroin from her on Thursday.

The police had information that Ranjit Kaur, alias Rano, of the border village of Rajatal was involved in peddling. Following this, a raid was conducted and the accused was arrested. During search, the contraband was seized from her. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against her and further probe was on to ascertain its source and links.
