A woman running a tea shop in the local Palika Bazar received injuries in her nose and throat because of the use of the prohibited string to fly kites to Lohri festival.

The festival was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in the area with a large number of devotees visiting the Darbar Sahib, Tarn Taran, early in the morning on Monday to pray for the blessings of the Almighty.
