A youth was killed on the spot in a road accident on the Amritsar-Khemkaran road (near Burj -165) here on Friday.

Chabal police station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Baj Singh said the deceased has been identified as Harash Liv (21), son of Heera Lal, a resident of Patti. An employee of an electronics company, the victim was on his way back after attending a work-related complaint at Khairdeenke village.

Riding a motorcycle, when he reached near Burj – 165, a speeding vehicle hit him from the front. He received serious injuries and died on the spot.

The Chabal police have registered a case under Sections 106 (2), 281 and 324 (2) of the BNS Act. The postmortem was conducted at the local Civil Hospital.
